Description: Transportation electrification is playing a pivotal role in the transition toward sustainable, low-carbon energy systems through the rapid deployment of electric vehicles, advanced charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, and renewable energy resources. This evolution requires significant advances in power electronic technologies, intelligent energy management, system integration, and reliable control strategies to ensure efficient, resilient, and secure operation under increasingly dynamic operating conditions.
This Special Session aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners working on emerging technologies and applications in power electronics and energy management for transportation electrification. The session welcomes original contributions covering theoretical developments, novel methodologies, experimental validation, and practical implementations related to electric transportation systems and their interaction with modern power systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, advanced power converter technologies, battery management systems, electric vehicle charging infrastructures, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) integration, renewable-powered charging systems, microgrids, digital twins, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation, optimization and predictive control, data-driven energy management, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies, and reliability-oriented design for transportation electrification.
Contributions presenting experimental demonstrations, prototype development, real-world deployments, and industrial applications are particularly encouraged. The objective of this Special Session is to foster collaboration and disseminate recent advances in the development of efficient, reliable, and sustainable power electronics and energy management solutions for next-generation transportation electrification.

Dr. Cesar Diaz-Londono
Huanjiang Laboratory, China
Dr. Cesar Diaz-Londono is a Senior Researcher at Huanjiang Laboratory, China, where he conducts research on transportation electrification, electric vehicle charging, renewable energy integration, and intelligent energy management systems. He received the dual Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia, and Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His research interests include power electronics applications for electrified transportation, battery-aware energy management, predictive optimization, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and Hardware-in-the-Loop validation of energy systems.
Dr. Diaz-Londono has participated in numerous international research projects involving electric vehicles, smart grids, and renewable energy integration, collaborating with institutions across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He serves as Chair of the IEEE Transportation Electrification Council Young Professionals Committee and is an IEEE Senior Member. His work focuses on bridging advanced control algorithms with practical implementations to improve the efficiency, flexibility, and reliability of next-generation electrified energy systems.
Dr. Hamidreza Arasteh

Dr. Hamidreza Arasteh is an electrical engineer specializing in various domains of power systems. He has been recognized for his academic prowess, earning distinctions such as the top graduate of both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs. Hamidreza has been recognized for his scholarly contributions, notably being ranked among the top 1% of reviewers in Engineering on Publons' global reviewer database from 2017 to 2018. Since 2017, he has been a part of the "Power Systems Operation and Planning Research Department" at the "Niroo Research Institute" (NRI). In addition to his academic contributions, Hamidreza undertook an industrial sabbatical at the Office of Economy, Investment, and Regulation of the Water and Electricity Market within Iran's Ministry of Energy, demonstrating his commitment to bridging academia and industry. Currently, he serves as a researcher at Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM), Huanjiang Laboratory, Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. He has also been actively engaged in scholarly publishing and editorial service, including serving as a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Reliability.
His research interests span a wide spectrum of power systems, including renewable integration, demand response, smart grid, microgrids, data analysis, energy management, electricity markets, and optimization. Hamidreza has received numerous awards throughout his career, recognizing his exceptional achievements and dedication to advancing the field of electrical engineering.

Dr. Anand R currently serves as a Vice Director and Researcher at Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM), Huanjiang Laboratory, Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. His research interests encompass Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Renewable Energy Systems, Soft Computing, Machine Learning, and Blockchain. His expertise lies in areas such as the application of Blockchain Technology in the Energy Internet Market, decentralized energy blockchain, Smart Grid Technology, self-healing microgrids, integration of renewable energy sources, non-linear controllers for microgrid operation, space microgrids, demand response, and the security of Advanced Metering Infrastructure. He completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. India. He has filed and published four Indian patents and three copyright algorithms. He has 19 years of teaching and research experience. He has published his research works in 2 books, 5 National Conferences, 30 International Conferences, and 41 International Journals, out of which the majority of the papers are indexed in SCI, SCOPUS, and Web of Science. He has been awarded research grants from DRDO - India and VGST, Karnataka, India. He is the Guest editor of the Electronics Journal, Bosnia. He is a reviewer for many journals, including IEEE, AECS, IGI Global Publications, and JEET. He completed Industrial Consultancy work for the Smart Water Management System. He developed a low-cost product for the local municipal water-monitoring system. He holds senior memberships in professional bodies such as IEEE & IAENG.
Prof. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban

Prof. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban (Member'12-Senior Member'15, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2012. He is a Full Professor in Electrical Power Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Cybernetics, University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway, and a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Systems Council on Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Systems & Electric Vehicles. S. Padmanaban has authored over 750+ scientific papers and received the Best Paper cum Most Excellent Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON'13, IET-CEAT'16, IEEE-EECSI'19, IEEE-CENCON'19, and five best paper awards from ETAEERE'16 sponsored by Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, Springer book. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. He received a lifetime achievement award from Marquis Who's Who - USA in 2017 for his contributions to power electronics and renewable energy research. He is listed among the world's top 2 scientists (from 2019) by Stanford University, USA.
